TOP VENUES AND IDEAS FOR CORPORATE CHRISTMAS PARTIES IN THE UK

Written by: Melissa - 28th October 2024

There is no 'one-size-fits-all' approach to Christmas, especially when it comes to festive corporate events planning. Here are some venues and ideas to ensure a memorable experience for all.

Many organisations we work with still hold larger ‘corporate’ Christmas parties or festive celebrations encouraging people to come together, especially in today’s hybrid working environment. Shared parties too, also remain a popular choice, particularly for smaller teams.

Some prefer to arrange a more relaxed end-of-year get-together that blows away the cobwebs and inspires the team for the year ahead. Others do similar but push it forward to January. After all, December is a notoriously busy month for many with the new year offering the perfect time to reflect and refocus on team objectives and goals.

Whatever the festive plan, guests appreciate a memorable occasion in spaces that enable enduring connections among colleagues and wider teams.

Spectacular Sporting Stadia

An iconic venue such as Headingley Stadium provides a fabulous setting for hosting festive celebrations. This world famous sporting venue - home of Leeds Rhinos Rugby League Club and Yorkshire County Cricket Club - transforms into a winter wonderland, offering a variety of festive experiences and party packages that cater to all tastes and preferences.

As do other Christmas venues from our partner Sodexo Prestige Venues and Events. How about the versatile American Express Stadium, nestled in the South Downs and home to Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club or Scotland's National Stadium, Hampden Park, to name a few. With a variety of festive themes, delicious menus, and fabulous entertainment options, each venue will make any Christmas celebration truly special.

Brilliant Band Nights

For those looking to dust off their dancing shoes and celebrate the season, tribute band nights are a great option.

One of our partners, Macdonald Hotels & Resorts has several dotted around the UK, which includes a delicious three-course meal, after which you can dance the night away until the early hours.

In Scotland, sing along to all your favourites like the fantastic Tina Turner Tribute act, plus Elton John Red Piano Tribute act - at Inchyra Hotel & Spa.

Alternatively, get ready to journey back in time with their Divas of the Decades, ABBA or Motown at Portal Golf & Spa Resort in Cheshire.

Magical surroundings

Our partner Classic British Hotels has a few special settings up its sleeve. At Oakley Hall Hotel you’ll be able to step into a magical festive scene at this gorgeous Georgian manor house in the Hampshire countryside, close to Basingstoke and the M3. Memorable party nights are hosted in the spacious Garden Pavilion and include bubbly on arrival, a festive menu designed by the award-winning chefs, casino tables with fun money, live entertainment during dinner, dancing and a DJ until 1.00 am.

Festive Afternoon Teas and Lunches

Not everyone wants to party the night away. Many teams these days prefer to catch up over a delicious three-course festive meal with all the trimmings at lunchtime or enjoy a Festive Afternoon Tea - a great British tradition with a Christmas twist. We can help you arrange this with our partner Q Hotels at one of their venues like the Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort in Norfolk

Whilst there is the luxury of time in which to plan for Christmas 2025, experienced events professionals will have already decided before summer to secure the best dates and venues. If time isn’t on your side, it is still worth contacting the Calder team to discover what opportunities might fit the bill.

Even latecomers should try to go to the Ball, as the annual Christmas gathering is the chance to recognise and reward the team for the past year's performance and to motivate and keep everybody on message for the coming year.
